Khan Academy is an excellent resource for free online test prep for the ACT or SAT. You will need to register as a learner to have access to the test prep material.

Test prep is essential to increasing your ACT or SAT score. If you are unable to take a test prep course, one of my suggestions is to use March2Success. This website allows you to take 7 practice tests and gives you the course work to help improve your score. The course work is provided by Peterson.

ACT Test Date
The next ACT test date is September 14, 2019. You have until August 30th to complete a late registration.
Writing Test for ACT
As you prepare to take the ACT, check with the colleges you are pursuing on whether the college requires you to take the Writing section. At many colleges the writing portion is optional, however, taking the writing test may help exempt you from taking other diagnostic tests depending on your major. Check with your desired college for their specific recommendation.
Differences in ACT vs SAT
Both the ACT vs SAT have essay or writing sections. Both ask you to analyze a specific passage, but ACT also asks your opinion about the passage.
